Order
Policy and Terms
Effective August 2026
At Marin’s Custom Apparel (“MCA”), we want every order to be clear, organized, and enjoyable from beginning to end. Because most of our products are made, decorated, or prepared specifically for each customer, the following policies help us keep orders accurate, production schedules realistic, pricing fair, and expectations consistent.

By approving an estimate, submitting payment, placing an order, approving artwork, or purchasing through an MCA online store, the customer agrees to the policies that apply to their order.
1. ESTIMATES & PRICING
Estimate Validity
Unless otherwise stated, estimates are valid for 14 days from the date issued.
Pricing may change after that period due to supplier pricing, garment costs, availability, shipping costs, or other changes.
Changes to an Estimate
Pricing is based on the information provided at the time the estimate is prepared.
Changes to any of the following may change the price:
-
Quantity
-
Garment brand or style
-
Garment color
-
Sizes
-
Artwork
-
Number of decoration locations
-
Decoration method
-
Personalization
-
Delivery or shipping requirements
-
Requested completion date
-
Other order specifications
If an order changes significantly, MCA may issue an updated estimate before proceeding.
Pricing Errors
MCA reserves the right to correct obvious pricing, quantity, product, or calculation errors before production begins.
If a correction changes the amount due, the customer will be notified before MCA proceeds.
2. PAYMENT & ORDER CONFIRMATION
Submitting an estimate request, receiving an estimate, discussing an order, or providing a requested completion date does not automatically reserve production time.
Unless MCA specifically agrees otherwise, all applicable order requirements must be completed before the order can fully move forward.
Depending on the order, this may include:
-
Required payment or approved payment arrangement
-
Final quantities
-
Final sizes
-
Product selections
-
Artwork or design information
-
Artwork approval
-
Personalization information
-
Purchase order
-
Shipping or delivery information
-
Other required customer information
Production Queue
Payment alone does not necessarily mean an order is ready for production.
The applicable production timeline begins only after the requirements necessary to move the order forward have been completed.
Delays in payment, artwork approval, quantities, sizing, product selections, purchase orders, or other required information may affect the completion date.
3. PURCHASE ORDERS
Purchase orders are accepted when approved by MCA.
Receiving or being promised a purchase order does not automatically reserve a production date.
Schools, districts, government organizations, businesses, and other organizations using purchase orders should allow sufficient time for:
-
Purchase order approval
-
Product ordering
-
Artwork preparation
-
Artwork approval
-
Production
-
Packaging
-
Delivery
A requested deadline is not guaranteed unless MCA specifically confirms that the deadline can be accommodated.
If a purchase order is delayed, the production schedule may also need to change.
4. ARTWORK, DESIGN & REVISION POLICY
MCA includes limited complimentary artwork services with eligible invoiced orders.
Complimentary Artwork for Standard Invoiced Orders
Unless otherwise stated, each invoiced order includes:
One complimentary artwork concept per item type, with one complimentary revision round to that artwork.
For example, if an invoiced order includes:
-
Shirts
-
Polos
-
Mugs
the order may include one complimentary artwork concept for the shirts, one for the polos, and one for the mugs when separate artwork is needed for each item type.
The complimentary artwork is provided as part of the customer’s decorated-product order and is intended to prepare the order for production.
Complimentary Artwork for School Online Stores
For eligible school online stores, MCA may offer up to four complimentary design concepts for the store, with one complimentary revision round per design.
The exact number of complimentary designs offered may depend on the store, products selected, design needs, and agreement with the school or organizer.
Each complimentary school-store design includes one revision round. Once the included revision round for a design has been used, additional revision rounds will be billed at MCA’s current artwork or revision rate.
Additional designs beyond the complimentary amount may also require a separate artwork fee.
What Is a Revision Round?
A revision round is one consolidated set of requested changes submitted at the same time to an existing artwork concept.
For example, a customer may request the following together:
-
Change the font
-
Make a color darker
-
Move the mascot higher
-
Adjust a line of text
When submitted together, those changes count as one revision round.
Each included artwork receives one complimentary revision round.
Once the complimentary revision round has been used, additional revision rounds will be billed at MCA’s current artwork or revision rate.
Simple Revisions
Simple revisions are reasonable changes to the existing design direction, such as:
-
Adjusting wording
-
Changing a color
-
Moving an element
-
Changing a font
-
Adjusting sizing or spacing
-
Making a reasonable layout adjustment
-
Making another similar change to the existing concept
Additional simple revision rounds are billed at MCA’s current revision rate.
Major Changes or New Design Directions
A request that substantially changes the original concept may be treated as a new artwork request rather than a revision.
Examples may include:
-
Replacing the original concept with an entirely different concept
-
Changing the overall theme or visual direction
-
Requesting multiple alternate designs to choose from
-
Starting over after the original direction was already developed
-
Requesting additional unrelated designs for the same product
-
Changing a design so significantly that most of the original artwork must be rebuilt
Major changes or new design directions may require a separate artwork fee.
MCA will notify the customer before beginning work that falls outside a standard revision.
Artwork Approval
Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing artwork before approval.
Please verify:
-
Spelling
-
Names
-
Dates
-
Numbers
-
Colors
-
Design elements
-
Garment color
-
General placement
-
Print locations
-
Personalization
-
Other order-specific information shown on the proof
Once artwork is approved, MCA will rely on that approval when producing the order.
Artwork approval authorizes MCA to proceed using the approved design.
MCA is not responsible for an error that was visible on an approved proof when the finished product accurately reflects the approved proof.
Changes After Approval
Artwork approval concludes the normal artwork revision process.
Changes requested after approval are not guaranteed and may be treated as an additional paid revision or new artwork request.
If MCA is able to accommodate the change:
-
Artwork charges may apply
-
Additional material costs may apply
-
Production may be delayed
-
The turnaround period may be revised
Once production has begun, changes may no longer be possible.
Mockups Are Visual Representations
Digital proofs and mockups are intended to show the overall appearance of a design.
They are not exact physical representations of:
-
Garment color
-
Print color
-
Print size
-
Print placement
-
Garment fit
-
Texture
-
Thread color
-
Screen brightness
Colors may appear differently from one screen to another and may vary slightly on the finished product.
Print Placement
MCA will make reasonable efforts to position artwork consistently.
Because apparel is flexible and individual items are decorated separately, minor variations in placement, alignment, or dimensions may occur.
Reasonable production variations are not considered defects.
5. CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED ARTWORK & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Customers may provide logos, artwork, photographs, designs, mascots, or other creative materials for use on their order.
Customers retain whatever ownership or rights they already have in artwork they provide to MCA.
By submitting artwork to MCA, the customer represents that they have the necessary permission or authority for MCA to reproduce it for their order.
MCA’s willingness to print or decorate an item does not mean MCA has independently verified ownership, licensing, copyright, trademark, or other usage rights.
MCA may refuse artwork or an order when there is a reasonable concern regarding ownership, authorization, licensing, legality, or appropriateness.
6. PRODUCTION PREPARATION & ARTWORK FILES
Customer-supplied artwork may need to be adjusted before it can be properly produced.
Normal production preparation may include:
-
Removing or creating a transparent background
-
Adjusting brightness
-
Adjusting contrast
-
Adjusting color for production
-
Cleaning edges
-
Removing unwanted background elements
-
Resizing
-
Adjusting resolution
-
Converting file formats
-
Preparing print dimensions
-
Simplifying artwork
-
Preparing artwork for a specific decoration process
-
Other technical production adjustments
These adjustments are performed so MCA can successfully produce the customer’s merchandise.
Production preparation does not transfer ownership of the customer’s original artwork to MCA.
Likewise, payment for MCA’s production-preparation services does not automatically include MCA’s internal production files, working files, templates, print-ready files, source files, or other files MCA creates or modifies as part of its production workflow.
MCA’s obligation is to provide the finished product ordered unless the order specifically includes delivery of an artwork file.
Production Files Are Not Automatically Included
Files created or modified internally for MCA’s production process are production tools and are not automatically provided as part of a merchandise order.
This may include:
-
Print-ready PNG files
-
Production-sized artwork
-
Color-adjusted production files
-
Gang sheets
-
Transfer layouts
-
Embroidery production files
-
Machine files
-
Templates
-
Working design files
-
Other production-specific files
If a customer would like a separate digital artwork file for their own use, they may ask MCA whether that file is available and whether an additional artwork or file-preparation fee applies.
Significant Artwork Recreation
Basic production preparation is different from extensive artwork recreation.
If customer-supplied artwork requires substantial:
-
Redrawing
-
Vectorization
-
Reconstruction
-
Detailed cleanup
-
Recreation of missing elements
-
Major design modification
MCA may charge an additional artwork fee.
The customer will be notified when significant artwork work is required beyond normal production preparation.
7. MCA-CREATED ARTWORK & FILE RIGHTS
Artwork created by MCA for a merchandise order is provided for the purpose of producing the customer’s MCA order.
Purchasing decorated merchandise does not automatically mean the customer is purchasing:
-
Editable source files
-
Working design files
-
Production files
-
Templates
-
Print-ready files
-
Other internal MCA design assets
If a customer wants a digital artwork file that can be used outside of their MCA merchandise order, they may request one separately.
Availability, file format, usage rights, and any applicable artwork or file fee will be determined by MCA.
Customer-Owned Materials Within an MCA Design
If MCA creates a design using a customer’s existing:
-
Logo
-
Photograph
-
Trademark
-
Mascot
-
Artwork
-
Other supplied material
the customer retains whatever rights they already have in that supplied material.
MCA does not gain ownership of the customer’s preexisting intellectual property simply because MCA prepared or incorporated it into a production file.
8. CANCELLATIONS & ORDER CHANGES
Because custom orders often require artwork preparation, garment purchasing, transfers, supplies, and reserved production time, cancellation eligibility depends on how far the order has progressed.
Before Work or Purchasing Begins
If an order is cancelled before MCA has begun artwork preparation, purchased materials, or incurred other order-specific costs, MCA may be able to issue a refund.
Any applicable nonrefundable costs already incurred may be deducted when appropriate.
After Artwork or Preparation Has Begun
Once design work, artwork preparation, setup, ordering, or other order-specific work has begun, the portion of payment covering work already completed or costs already incurred is nonrefundable.
After Materials Have Been Ordered
Once garments, transfers, supplies, or other materials have been purchased specifically for an order, those costs are nonrefundable unless MCA is able to cancel or return the materials without loss.
After Production Begins
Orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun.
Customer-Requested Changes
Changes to quantities, sizes, garments, colors, artwork, placement, personalization, or other specifications may result in:
-
Additional charges
-
New material costs
-
Artwork charges
-
Rush charges
-
A revised completion date
MCA will determine whether a requested change can reasonably be accommodated.
9. TURNAROUND TIMES
Unless otherwise stated, standard bulk-order turnaround may be up to 14 business days after all requirements necessary to move the order into production have been completed.
Depending on the order, these requirements may include:
-
Payment
-
Artwork approval
-
Final quantities
-
Final sizes
-
Product selections
-
Personalization information
-
Purchase order approval
-
Other required customer information
Business days do not include weekends or recognized holidays.
Requested Dates
Customers are welcome to provide a desired completion or event date.
Providing a requested date does not mean MCA has accepted or guaranteed that date.
A deadline is considered confirmed only when MCA has specifically agreed that it can accommodate the requested timeline.
Factors Outside MCA’s Control
MCA works hard to meet confirmed production schedules. However, certain circumstances may affect an order, including:
-
Supplier delays
-
Product shortages
-
Shipping carrier delays
-
Equipment failures
-
Manufacturer issues
-
Severe weather
-
Power outages
-
Emergencies
-
Other circumstances outside MCA’s reasonable control
If a significant issue affects an order, MCA will communicate with the customer as soon as reasonably possible.
10. RUSH ORDERS
Orders requiring completion significantly faster than MCA’s standard turnaround may be considered rush orders.
As a general guideline, orders requiring completion within 7 business days or fewer may require rush approval.
Rush orders:
-
Are accepted based on availability
-
Are not guaranteed to be accepted
-
May have limited garment or decoration choices
-
May require a rush fee
-
May require faster artwork approval or customer response times
An order is not considered an accepted rush order until MCA specifically confirms it.
Submitting payment does not automatically override MCA’s production schedule or create a guaranteed rush deadline.
11. CUSTOMER DELAYS
MCA’s turnaround time depends on timely customer responses.
Delays in any of the following may delay the order:
-
Payment
-
Artwork approval
-
Purchase orders
-
Sizes
-
Quantities
-
Personalization lists
-
Product selections
-
Responses to questions
-
Other required information
MCA is not responsible for missed deadlines caused by customer delays.
Orders on Hold
If MCA is waiting for required customer action for 5 or more business days, the order may be placed on hold.
An order placed on hold may lose its previous position in the production schedule.
Once the customer provides the required information or approval, MCA will provide or confirm an updated timeline based on current production availability.
12. GARMENT AVAILABILITY & SUBSTITUTIONS
Garment inventory changes frequently and products may become unavailable between the time an estimate is prepared and the time an order is placed.
If a requested product becomes unavailable, MCA may recommend:
-
A comparable brand
-
A comparable style
-
Another color
-
Another garment option
-
An adjusted timeline
MCA will not intentionally make a significant product substitution without customer approval.
Natural differences between garment brands, manufacturing batches, youth and adult products, or different garment styles are not considered defects.
13. SIZING POLICY
Customers are responsible for selecting the sizes they order.
Size charts are provided as general guidance when available but do not guarantee how a garment will fit a specific person.
Sizing may vary between:
-
Brands
-
Garment styles
-
Youth and adult products
-
Unisex and fitted garments
-
Different materials
-
Manufacturing batches
MCA is not responsible for garments being too large, too small, or fitting differently than expected when the size supplied by the customer was correctly fulfilled.
Because customized garments cannot normally be resold, size-related returns and exchanges are not accepted.
14. ORDER QUANTITIES & PERSONALIZATION
Customers are responsible for verifying quantities, sizes, names, numbers, and personalization information before production.
Personalization should be submitted in the format requested by MCA.
MCA is not responsible for errors that were supplied by the customer and reproduced correctly.
If MCA makes a personalization error that differs from the information the customer correctly provided and approved, MCA will work to correct the affected item.
15. RETURNS, EXCHANGES & ORDER ISSUES
Because MCA products are made, decorated, or personalized specifically for each customer:
All customized merchandise is final sale.
MCA does not accept returns or exchanges because of:
-
Incorrect size selection
-
Change of mind
-
Color preference
-
Garment preference
-
Customer-supplied errors
-
Approved artwork
-
Approved personalization
-
An event being cancelled
-
An organization changing plans
-
Items no longer being needed
MCA Errors or Defective Items
We stand behind our work.
If MCA makes a production error or an item has a legitimate manufacturing or decoration defect, MCA will review the issue and determine the appropriate resolution.
Depending on the circumstances, that may include:
-
Repair
-
Replacement
-
Reprinting
-
Store credit
-
Refund of the affected item
The appropriate remedy will be determined based on the specific issue.
Reporting a Problem
Order problems should be reported within 5 business days of pickup, delivery, or receipt.
Customers may be asked to provide:
-
Photographs
-
Video
-
Order information
-
A description of the issue
-
The affected item for inspection
Please do not discard, wash, alter, repair, or otherwise modify a defective item before MCA has had an opportunity to review the problem.
16. CARE OF DECORATED APPAREL
Customers should follow any garment and decoration care instructions provided by MCA.
Unless otherwise instructed, decorated apparel generally lasts longest when customers avoid excessive heat and harsh treatment.
MCA is not responsible for damage resulting from:
-
Improper washing
-
Improper drying
-
Excessive heat
-
Bleach or harsh chemicals
-
Ironing directly over decoration
-
Alterations
-
Misuse
-
Normal wear and tear
17. CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED GARMENTS & PRODUCTS
MCA accepts customer-supplied garments or products only with prior approval.
To reduce the risk of accepting items that cannot be replaced if something goes wrong during decoration, MCA only accepts customer-supplied garments or products that MCA is reasonably able to source through its approved vendors or suppliers.
Replacement Availability
Before accepting a customer-supplied item, MCA must be reasonably able to obtain the same or a comparable replacement through one of its vendors.
MCA may decline items that:
-
Are discontinued
-
Cannot be sourced through MCA’s vendors
-
Are vintage or one-of-a-kind
-
Have sentimental value
-
Are unusually expensive
-
Cannot reasonably be replaced
-
Are made from materials unsuitable for MCA’s decoration processes
-
Have already been decorated or altered in a way that creates additional production risk
If MCA Damages an Approved Customer-Supplied Item
MCA will use reasonable care when decorating approved customer-supplied products.
If an accepted customer-supplied item is damaged as a direct result of an MCA production error, MCA will replace the affected item with the same garment or product when reasonably available through MCA’s vendors.
If the exact item is no longer reasonably available, MCA will work with the customer to provide a reasonably comparable replacement.
MCA’s responsibility applies to the replaceable garment or product itself and does not create responsibility for sentimental, collectible, personal, or other special value attached to the customer’s original item.
This is why MCA does not accept customer-supplied products that cannot reasonably be replaced through our vendors.
Existing Damage or Product Condition
MCA is not responsible for:
-
Existing stains
-
Existing holes
-
Existing wear
-
Manufacturing defects
-
Previous decoration
-
Previous heat damage
-
Material deterioration
-
Other conditions that existed before MCA received the product
MCA may inspect and decline a customer-supplied item before production if there is concern about its condition or suitability.
18. PICKUP
Customers will be notified when their order is ready for pickup.
Orders should not be picked up before MCA confirms they are ready.
Customers are responsible for reviewing the number of boxes, bags, or packages received at pickup.
Pickup of the completed order generally constitutes delivery of the order to the customer unless an issue is reported under MCA’s Order Issues Policy.
19. LOCAL & SCHOOL DELIVERY
When MCA has agreed to deliver an order to a school, organization, business, event location, or designated representative, delivery to that approved location or representative constitutes completion of MCA’s delivery obligation.
Customers are responsible for coordinating internally with:
-
Staff
-
Teachers
-
Coaches
-
Parents
-
Employees
-
Organizers
-
Participants
after MCA completes the agreed delivery.
Unless separately agreed, MCA is not responsible for distributing individual items within an organization.
20. SHIPPING
Shipping timelines are separate from production timelines.
A quoted production completion date does not necessarily mean the package will arrive at its destination on that same date.
Once an order has been transferred to a shipping carrier, carrier transit times and delays are outside MCA’s direct control.
MCA will reasonably assist customers with legitimate shipping problems when possible.
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address.
Additional shipping charges resulting from an incorrect customer-provided address, refused shipment, or required reshipment may be the customer’s responsibility.
21. ONLINE STORE ORDERS
MCA online stores operate differently from standard bulk orders.
Store Closing Dates
Each store will have a scheduled closing date unless specifically designed as an ongoing store.
Customers must place orders before the published deadline.
Orders generally cannot be added or changed after the store closes once production processing has begun.
Production Timeline
Unless otherwise stated, online store orders may require up to 14 business days after the store closes for production before the applicable delivery or distribution process.
The production timeline begins after the store closes rather than when an individual shopper places their order.
Store Returns
Because items sold through MCA stores are produced specifically for the store or customer, customized online-store purchases are final sale except for verified defects or MCA errors.
Store Minimums
Some products or decoration methods require minimum quantities.
When a minimum applies, MCA will communicate the requirement to the organizer.
Certain specialty or embroidery products may require the organizer to purchase the remaining quantity if an agreed minimum is not reached.
Organization Distribution
When an online store uses group or school delivery, MCA may deliver orders to the organization for distribution.
MCA is not responsible for delays occurring after the orders have been transferred to the organization’s designated representative.
22. FUNDRAISING THROUGH ONLINE STORES
Organizations may choose to add a fundraising amount to eligible products sold through their MCA online store.
The fundraising amount is generally added to MCA’s applicable product price.
After the applicable store or order process is complete, MCA will issue the agreed fundraising proceeds to the organization using the agreed payment method.
Possible payment methods may include:
-
Check
-
Zelle
-
Venmo
-
Other mutually agreed methods
Any fundraiser amount, eligible products, payment recipient, and payment method should be established with the organizer before the store launches.
23. PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & PORTFOLIO USE
MCA is proud of the work we create.
Unless the customer requests otherwise in writing, MCA may photograph or record products created or decorated by MCA, including:
-
Finished apparel
-
Finished merchandise
-
Order packaging
-
Close-ups of decoration
-
Production processes
-
Behind-the-scenes work
-
Completed order displays
-
Products being worn or used
These photographs or videos may be used for purposes including:
-
MCA’s website
-
Social media
-
Portfolio
-
Advertising
-
Marketing
-
Promotional materials
-
Educational content
-
Examples of MCA’s work
Customers who do not want their products photographed or publicly shared should notify MCA in writing before the order is completed.
MCA will make reasonable efforts not to display private or identifying customer information such as:
-
Addresses
-
Telephone numbers
-
Private order lists
-
Student information
-
Personal documents
-
Other sensitive information
Photos or Videos That Include People
When the purpose of a photo or video is to showcase MCA’s products rather than the individual person, MCA may crop, blur, pixelate, cover, or otherwise remove identifying information before sharing the content.
This may include obscuring:
-
Faces
-
Names
-
Name badges
-
Student names
-
Identification cards
-
Addresses
-
Phone numbers
-
Personal documents
-
Other information that may unnecessarily identify an individual
If a person may still reasonably be identified after their face has been blurred, MCA may further crop or obscure other identifying details before using the image.
Permission to photograph or display an MCA-created product does not automatically give MCA permission to intentionally feature an identifiable person as a model, spokesperson, testimonial, or primary subject of advertising.
When MCA intentionally features an identifiable customer, student, employee, event attendee, or other individual for promotional purposes, separate permission may be requested when appropriate.
Additional care will be taken when minors are identifiable.
24. CUSTOMER-SHARED PHOTOS & SOCIAL MEDIA
Customers are welcome to tag MCA or share photographs of their completed products.
Tagging MCA, sending MCA a photograph, or publicly posting an image does not automatically mean MCA will use an identifiable individual’s likeness in paid advertising or another use that may require separate permission.
MCA may ask before reposting certain customer-created content, particularly when identifiable individuals or children are prominently featured.
25. COMMUNICATION
Good communication helps us keep orders moving.
Customers are responsible for monitoring the contact method provided to MCA for important:
-
Artwork approvals
-
Questions
-
Order updates
-
Payment requests
-
Deadline information
-
Pickup notices
-
Delivery notices
MCA primarily communicates during normal business days.
Messages received outside MCA’s normal communication hours may be answered the following business day.
Repeated messages through multiple communication channels do not change an order’s position in the production schedule.
26. EVENTS & EVENT DATES
Customers should tell MCA about important event dates as early as possible.
MCA will make reasonable efforts to help customers plan appropriately, but an event date itself does not automatically create a guaranteed production deadline.
The customer remains responsible for placing and approving their order with sufficient time for production and delivery.
MCA is not responsible for losses related to an event being:
-
Cancelled
-
Rescheduled
-
Relocated
-
Changed
-
Poorly attended
after custom merchandise has already been ordered or produced.
27. LIVE EVENT PRINTING
Live event printing services may have additional terms based on the specific event.
These may address:
-
Setup time
-
Event access
-
Electrical requirements
-
Space requirements
-
Weather
-
Inventory
-
Expected attendance
-
Parking or loading access
-
Event cancellation
-
Setup and breakdown
-
Products offered
-
Revenue sharing
-
Fundraising arrangements
Any event-specific agreement provided by MCA will supplement these general policies.
28. MINIMUM ORDER REQUIREMENTS
Certain MCA products and decoration methods require minimum quantities.
Minimums may vary based on:
-
Garment
-
Decoration method
-
Design
-
Product
-
Supplier
-
Artwork
-
Order structure
MCA will communicate applicable minimums before accepting the order whenever possible.
Different decoration methods or product options may be suggested when an order does not meet a required minimum.
29. DECORATION METHODS
MCA may use different professional decoration methods depending on the order, garment, design, quantity, and desired appearance.
These may include methods such as:
-
Direct-to-film transfers
-
Heat-applied specialty materials
-
Screen-printed transfers
-
Embroidery
-
Sublimation
-
Rhinestones
-
Other appropriate methods
Unless a specific production method is part of the customer’s order requirements, MCA may determine the appropriate production method necessary to achieve the approved appearance.
30. NATURAL PRODUCT & PRODUCTION VARIATIONS
Custom apparel is not produced in the same manner as a digital image displayed on a screen.
Minor differences may naturally occur between items, including variations in:
-
Garment shade
-
Fabric
-
Stitching
-
Print placement
-
Print dimensions
-
Transfer appearance
-
Thread appearance
-
Manufacturing
-
Individual garment construction
Reasonable production or manufacturing variations that do not materially affect the use or overall appearance of the item are not considered defects.
31. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
MCA reserves the right to decline or discontinue an order when reasonably necessary, including situations involving:
-
Suspected unauthorized artwork
-
Illegal content
-
Harassment or abusive conduct
-
Fraud concerns
-
Safety concerns
-
Production requirements MCA cannot reasonably fulfill
-
Unrealistic or unapproved deadlines
-
Repeated failure to provide required information or payment
If MCA discontinues an order that has already been paid, any applicable refund will be determined based on work completed, products ordered, costs incurred, and the circumstances of the order.
32. POLICY EXCEPTIONS
These policies represent MCA’s standard business practices.
MCA understands that unusual circumstances occasionally happen and may choose to make an exception when reasonable.
Any exception must be specifically approved by MCA.
An exception made for one customer, order, situation, or occasion:
-
Does not permanently change MCA’s policy
-
Does not require MCA to make the same exception again
-
Does not create an exception for another customer
-
Does not waive MCA’s ability to enforce the standard policy on future orders
MCA reserves discretion to determine whether an exception can reasonably be accommodated.
33. POLICY UPDATES
MCA may update its policies as the business, services, processes, or applicable requirements change.
The policies in effect when an order is accepted will generally apply to that order unless otherwise agreed.
QUICK RECAP
We know policies are a lot to read, so here are some of the most important things to remember.
Payment alone does not necessarily start production.
We also need the applicable final order information and required artwork approval.
Each eligible invoiced item type includes one artwork concept and one revision round.
Additional revisions or substantially new design directions may require an artwork fee.
Send revision requests together.
One consolidated set of requested changes counts as one revision round.
Please review artwork carefully.
Once you approve it, MCA will produce from that approval.
Production-preparation files are not automatically included with your merchandise.
Preparing your artwork for printing does not mean MCA is required to provide its internal print-ready, working, or production files.
Custom products are final sale.
If MCA makes an error or an item is legitimately defective, we will work with you to correct the affected item.
Choose sizes carefully.
Customized apparel cannot be exchanged simply because a different size is preferred.
Turnaround begins after the order is actually ready to move forward.
Waiting for payment, artwork approval, sizes, quantities, purchase orders, or other information can move your completion date.
Requested deadlines are not automatically guaranteed.
MCA must specifically confirm rush or time-sensitive orders.
Customer-supplied garments must be replaceable through our vendors.
We do not accept irreplaceable, sentimental, vintage, or one-of-a-kind items.
We may photograph the products we make.
If a customer does not want their finished order included in MCA’s portfolio, social media, or marketing, they should tell us in writing before the order is completed.
When people appear in product photos, MCA may crop, blur, pixelate, or otherwise obscure identifying information before sharing the image.
An exception is an exception—not a new policy.
Helping with one unusual situation does not permanently change MCA’s standard policies.
Thank you for trusting Marin’s Custom Apparel with your order.

Worn in the Moment. Made for the Memory.

These policies are intended to explain MCA’s standard business practices and may be updated as our services and processes evolve.
